• alright but lets talk about canon divergence wherein Simon and Baz get together during fifth year
  
• Baz who doesn’t repress everything like the emotionally constipated bby he is and just /snaps/ one day when Simon is following him
• “Would you leave me alone already?! You being around all the time is making it really hard to ignore the fact that I’m in love with you!”
  
• Simon is so stunned by this outburst that he actually listens
• Baz is dejected for weeks after because he wasn’t really expecting Simon to reciprocate, but at least when Simon was following him he had his attention?
• Simon spends those few weeks puzzling over his feelings in silence - he would talk to Penny, but talking to Penny about this feels weird when she’s been complaining about Simon complaining about Baz so much? - until he realizes he’s totally gone on Baz as well.
• The air in their dorm has been really awkward and they havent really said anything to each other, so Baz is completely caught off guard when he enters to find Simon sitting cross legged on his bed, clearly waiting for him.
• Simon tentatively asking if Baz really meant what he said and does Baz still feel that way because Simon just needed some time to figure out that he felt the same
• Baz feeling so off balance that all he just laughs kinda breathlessly and asks Simon if he’s serious? And does he remember all those things Baz did to him?
• Simon shrugging and pointing out that he’s been pretty horrible to Baz too
• and Baz just being stunned by the idea that this beautiful, wonderful, magical boy is in love with him?? How did that happen?? How is he this lucky??
• ALL THE WONDERFUL THINGS THAT WOULD HAPPEN AFTER THEY GOT TOGETHER!!
• They would absolutely be the schools power couple okay?
• Simon going to every one of Baz’s football games - wind, rain, or snow - and cheering wildly.
• They’re always touching when they walk to class - holding hands or having their arms over eah others shoulders or just walking side by side with their hips constantly bumping
• Simon being there with Baz as he’s adjusting to his vampirism and helping him learn not to hate himself
• Baz and Penny striking up their wonderfully competitive and sassy friendship earlier and constantly ganging up on Simon to make him focus on his school work
• Baz refusing to let Simon shove him into a box over the summer. Baz having Simon over for weekends at his house and calling or writing letters to him when he can’t see him.
• so many wonderful things can come from them having gotten together earlier??

Let’s not forget they share a room…sharing a room with ya boy….nice…nice…
