A Bubbly Escapade

A post dedicated to relationships and friendships Tadashi’s formed with other teammates than Tsukishima, because while his and Tsukki’s relationship is important, it’s also very important that people see how many good friends this child has managed to make.
Part I - First years (because the post would be really really really long if I portrayed everyone)
Back when Yamaguchi seemed to be all about Tsukishima, which was understandable, considering Tsukki used to be his only friend and someone he saw as an idol defeating all the bullies, plus Yamaguchi wasn’t that good with making new friends and opening up, Tadashi’s team spirit started awakening. He would no longer only cheer for Tsukishima (like in the practise match against Aobajousai), but for everyone. He’d also praise other players and see them as amazing, because to him, who wasn’t even playing, they truly were. And still are. He even made sure to tell Hinata, who’d screwed up his serve, not to worry about it. And truly, I think that, aside from Tsukishima, it might be Hinata that Yamaguchi sees as his best friend.
He watches out for him and worries about him because that child might get himself killed one day and Yamaguchi’s having none of this. And you know what I love about this, Tadashi used to be so very shy and reserved but he’s still went and grabbed Hinata under his arms and dragged him away to keep him from harm. And that’s really beautiful, because it’s the first signs that Yamaguchi cares about Hinata, as weird or unimportant it might seem.
Afterwards, these kids just get along better and better and I consider them best friends by now
They cheer together (often talking while doing so)
They talk and hang out together quite a lot, it seems. They both seem really relaxed while with each other, and as much as it might be not that big of a deal for Hinata, I’m sure for Yamaguchi it is. Because he can joke around, and laugh around, and act silly and childlike with someone his age that isn’t Tsukishima. And that must feel amazing.
There’s also the fact that Yamaguchi trusts Hinata with something like trying to make Tsukki feel better and more motivated. Because he himself witnessed the wonders Hinata’s charm and personality are able to do, and he’s confident that, if it’s Hinata, he can do something to make Tsukishima feel better. His lack of self-confidence shows here, because he’s convinced Hinata can help Tsukki more than he can, even though it’s him that’s childhood friends with Tsukishima. But it also shows how much Yamaguchi trusts Hinata, honestly.
*wipes away a tear* look at them. Look at the relationship improvement. Hinata, who hates losing and would love to score as many points as possible, told Yamaguchi it was fine if he’d score all the points and that’s just so wondeful *blows nose*.
Okay let’s move on to Kageyama.
During the match against Seijou, he seemed to notice that things weren’t exactly working out for Kageyama. And while it was pretty obvious, sure, it didn’t mean that everyone would be able to notice. Still, since Yamaguchi did, it seems like even back during the match with Seijou the team was slowly coming together. And plus this panel here is a brilliant example of what the Kageyama&Yamaguchi relationship would be like. Yamaguchi will need to worry a lot about Kageyama.
check if he’s breathing and carry around things you don’t normally carry around, because Kageyama can be a worrisome person
And drag him off the court, and make sure he stays calm, and basically, Yamaguchi has to baby Kageyama a lot. But that only shows that he cares, too. He’s probably worried to leave that huge baby all on his own.
Then we have Yachi and I’ll start with how adorable and fidgety he gets around her
But it’s not only that. It’s not a one-sided relationship where he’s all nervous around her. They become really good friends, who’re able to find common topics and laugh at them
And she knows right away that’s something off about him
They also both admire Kiyoko
He’s there to help her out in a pinch
Just like she is there for him
These kids are such good friends, and care about each other so much, and support each other so much, and from not being able to hold a conversation with her, Yamaguchi was able to become best friends and that’s so beautiful and precious. Yamaguchi’s and Yachi’s relationship is so important.
And just all of these kids together, have such a good relationship. Yamaguchi can fool around with them, and laugh with them, and help them out, and get helped out, and he understands and cares about them, and they do about him too, and it’s so important to me.
Plus never forget, that one time Kageyama and Hinata asked Tsukishima for help, Yamaguchi backed them up
He cares about them so much and I’m gonna cry, their friendships are so important to me.
